Dark Score Stories

Check out www.darkscorestories.com This website was created to promote the A&E film Bag of Bones, a 2-night television event airing Dec 11th- 9/8C

This was an amazing creative exploration of the film through photojournalism featuring the stars of the film and tons of hidden gestures to all the Stephan King fans out there!

Check it out! Here are a few sneak peak photos, I thought were fun hair and makeup portfolios shots for me :)

PICNICFACE!!! Series Premiere!!!!

Tune into the Comedy Network on Wednesday Sept 21st for the premiere of Picnicface Season 1!

After working on many Picnicface sketches, short films and their first feature film Rollertown, I had the privilege to spend my spring working on the funniest show in the world! Everyday was a whirlwind of laughter on set and in the make up/hair room!

Check out some of these ridiculous characters!!

Cloudburst at the AFF!

Cloudburst staring Oscar winners Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker and Halifax's own Ryan Doucette opened at the Atlantic Film Festival this past Friday! Last summer I had the pleasure of touring Nova Scotia while filming the movie and working as the Key Make Up Artist on the film. The cast, crew, locations and story we were telling were all a pleasure to be a part of. I encourage everyone to check it out!

So we played again!

After a successful day with Miss Haley Ramm, Suzette set up an afternoon with Leah Marsh.

I made Leah up to play within an awesome disco world Suzette and Stacey created, complete with sequined earphones for our disco DJ!

Leah was then transformed into a look inspired by the rich colors of a peacock and dressed in the peacock bikini made by Stacey. It was beautiful, had to be my fav :)

While in LA!

Over the past few years I have traveled with Halifax based Photographer, Brent McCombs to do some work with LA photographer Suzette Troche-Stapp. I kind of got used to the idea of traveling at least once a year for that reason and loved coming home with amazing images to add to my port from Brent and Suzette, as well as many other photographers that would take part in her workshops.

This year Brent and I had no plans to travel together but I've found myself traveling to LA on my own for personal reasons. My first visit was for about 3 weeks in October, and although I had a great time, my hands don't sit well while idle. It's amazing how even after such a short period of time you can feel a loss when you remove a creative outlet or something you are so passionate about. That was me and I didn't like it.

Soooo... when returning to LA after Christmas I came with 2 large suitcases filled with all my goods! If I wasn't being creative in LA with Brent, I was determined to find my own play, reach out and network and have some great work to show off in the end.
Which is exactly what happened! I met some great talent, learned and challenged myself and without my peers that support me so much at home, I was forced to find my own way.

Halifax is a comforting family and I feel like so many people have my back or rather have eachothers backs. I never have to worry as I seem to always be surrounded by the same people and we keep each other up. LA on the other hand seemed like a big scary place to enter on my own but I must say, IT WAS AWESOME! The few contacts I had made in the past such as Suzette (Glitter Guru), Stacey Elder Herb and Angel Burns were there waiting with open arms and new contacts were also happy to welcome into their crew! It felt nice and it shows!

That will be the longest post I'll ever write, guaranteed. Enough said, you get the picture. Now take a gander!

Classified- Oh, Canada

Director Cazhmer and the gang from The NE Inc came down from Toronto to produce this video for Classified!

It was a chilly day in Halifax, but thanks to the dedicated fans who stayed with us all afternoon, we were able to pull off this great video.

The best part for me was recreating the part of our heritage commercials. I've been in more than a few situations we"re people end up rhyming off these awesome spots word for word, one after the other! Check it out, there is one spoof at the top of the video and one at the end!

Molly Thomason, People Lie

Jason Levangie directed this video during our Viewfinders Film Festival Master Class last year. Each year this class teaches and mentors youth to write and create a music video all in one weekend. Molly Thomason is a talented young singer/songwriter from Nova Scotia, her song was picked to create the music video for.

She blew me away. 10 years younger than I am and I wished she was my best friend. She's unbelievably talented and way cooler than I am in so many ways! I am writing a short film right now and hoping Molly will be my lead...ahem, hey Molly...
